PaymentOne Selected by Rodopi Software to Deliver Advanced Payment Solutions to Service ProvidersNew Solution Immediately Available To Installed Base Of Over 1000 ISPs - Largest Independent ISP, Joi Internet, To DeploySan Jose, CA — December 16, 2003 — PaymentOne® Corporation, the leading payment service provider (PSP) for digital merchants and service providers and Rodopi Software, a global leader in automated billing, provisioning and customer care software for service providers, today announced the immediate availability of an integrated payment solution as part of the Rodopi Billing Software Suite. Currently deploying the advanced payment solution includes initial joint customer JOI Internet, a subsidiary of Hawk Communications, LLC, and the nations largest independent Internet Service Provider. "We expect this combined integration to allow us to capture revenue from market segments and users we previously had to turn away. The integration of our Rodopi infrastructure technology with an advanced set of alternative payment options greatly reduces our overhead and provides a significant marketing advantage for us," said Dave Norman, vice president of Operations at Joi Internet. This newly integrated solution will enable internet based companies using Rodopi Software to significantly expand their market reach and revenue by offering its end consumers PaymentOne's suite of "No Credit Card Required" payment options. Payment options include their flagship service, PhoneBill ™, where charges are routed directly to a consumer's local monthly phone bill without requiring the consumer to enter sensitive private financial information. The integrated solution will include real time validation, user authentication, and fraud management. As a result, service providers can reach broader consumer segments that are unwilling or unable to use credit cards online, many times because of their significant security and fraud concerns. In a recent UCLA Internet Report, over 92% of online consumers were somewhat or extremely concerned about fraud and security. A recent Online Payment Strategy & Preference Poll commissioned by EContent Magazine and PaymentOne showed over 61% of consumers surveyed stated more secure and convenient payment options would make them more inclined to transact online. Typical deployments of alternative payment options have resulted in incremental revenue increases of 25%-35%. "Our customers are looking for new ways to grow and capture large numbers of new users coming online," says Art Ekroos, executive Vice President for Rodopi Software. "After an exhaustive review of the market choices and specific client requirements, we selected PaymentOne as the best of breed solution in the payments area, and are excited to provide additional capabilities that have direct impact to our client's revenue." "We are pleased to have been chosen by Rodopi, and are excited about the opportunity to unlock new markets and revenue for the 1000+ service providers currently using Rodopi," says Don Teague, vice president of sales & marketing for PaymentOne. "We have had significant experience and success in the ISP marketplace, and look forward to applying those best practices and payment strategies to an expanded set of customers."
